The Planworx® indexable insert milling cutter is a universal genius for face milling.

With negatively set insert seats, the tool system has an extremely stable basic shape.

The coated and hardened base body of Planworx® offers a long service life and high tooth stability even under extreme loads.

Indexable inserts in various qualities are available for materials such as steel, stainless steel, cast iron, heat-resistant special alloys and titanium.

Planworx® is ideal for face milling and, with an axial angle Kappa of 45 degrees, is also suitable for chamfer milling.

Eight reliably usable cutting edges make Planworx® a highly economical face milling cutter. The tool is ideal for unstable working conditions and maximum cutting depths of up to 6.5 mm.

A specially adapted face cutting edge geometry delivers the best surface results during roughing (medium cutting and coarse cutting). The cutting edge geometry helps to minimise temperatures in the cutting material and ensure even chip evacuation.

Each individual cutting edge is labelled accordingly for easy orientation of the installation position and enables rapid further turning. The precisely manufactured insert seats in conjunction with the fastening screw hold the insert precisely in its seat.

The effective insert thickness of 5.4 mm increases process reliability and protects the carrier body.

With optimised milling parameters, the highly positive insert geometry and its stable design, Planworx® can achieve a particularly smooth cut.

Planworx® also impresses with its outstandingly smooth running, as the customised unequal pitch eliminates resonance vibrations.

Up to a diameter of 125 mm, coolant holes are provided in Planworx® for the internal coolant supply of different media.

Planworx® is available in dimensions from 40 to 250 mm facing diameter.
