LG India has initiated the #LGHopeTechnicalSkillsAcademy under CSR, in collaboration with the “Electronics Sector Skills Council of India” (ESSCI) and the “National Small Industries Corporation” (NSIC), to provide skill development for underprivileged youth in India. This program is in line with the Indian government's initiative towards skill development and aims to offer multi-skill repair and installation training for various consumer durables and home appliance products to promote sustainable livelihoods and employment. This will help to meet the growing demand for a skilled workforce in the consumer durables and home appliances sector in India.

The academy is a world-class facility with state-of-the-art infrastructure, located at the NSIC Campus in Okhla, New Delhi. Equipped with the latest technology products, tools, and simulators, the labs provide interactive classrooms with display boards. The trainers are highly experienced and have industry exposure, and they are trained by the LG Training Team. The training program is designed to create industry-ready workforces with soft skills, communication, safety, and service delivery training. The academy also offers extracurricular activities like yoga, meditation, and indoor and outdoor games for trainee's overall development.

The academy is free of charge, and all trainees receive lunch, a uniform, a digital multimeter, a tool kit, a backpack, and study materials. Successful candidates will receive the globally recognized, NCVET approved "Level 4" certificate. The academy also provides full support for placement for certified candidates through campus interviews and job fairs.

Overall, LG India's commitment to upskilling and empowering the Indian youth is commendable and is having a significant impact on the Indian workforce.
