After seven years, in 1977, on the night of December, Albuquerque police arrested Bill Gates and locked him behind bars.

He was arrested in the process of producing the famed mugshot of a smiling. And the younger Gates started circulating around the internet to this day.

According to Ars Technica, however, the reason for his arrest by Albuquerque police has been “lost to the sands of time.”

Some reports also claim that Bill Gates also was arrested for driving without a license, and without license, he failed to stop at the signal.

So the police caught him and found that he had no license in his car, so he was arrested.

However, there is no doubt that when a person smiles in front of a camera, he looks attractive for what he was arrested for.

The fact is that the Bill Gates arrest on mugshot may have wound up being an in-joke at Microsoft. Ars Technica pointed out that one graphic appeared in Outlook 2010.
