Massive protest broke out in Leh as the people of Ladakh are demanding statehood and inclusion of Ladakh under the Sixth Schedule. The protests turned aggressive as the demonstrators and police clashed with each other during the large scale protests. The BJP office was also set on fire as the protesters turned violent for the statehood demand. However, the police and CRPF have now taken control over situation by detaining the violent protesters
