Update May 2024:
this video is pretty outdated now, Reshade has been updated many times and the RTGI mod has seen numerous overhauls.
As such, this video should be considered "historical" and not a current guide for using the RTGI mod
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Feat. Red Dead Redemption 2 🤠🐴 ReShade v.4.9.1 & RTGI v.0.27 Technique is applicable to most games
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I did NOT create these shaders nor do I provide support for them, I just enjoy using them 😎
ReShade (free): https://www.reshade.me
RTGI Shader (Patreon): / mcflypg
^ do NOT ask me where to get the Pascal Gilcher RTGI shader for free. Pay the creator for his work! 🤑
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Protip: even potate 🥔 GPUs can run this shader if you set the resolution low enough, no RTX needed 😉 The performance is really impressive considering all it's doing, squeezed into milliseconds between frames.

Games that did not work or had issues (also not a complete list)
Battlefield 1: don't remember, depth buffer stuff, probably risk of ban
Bioshock Infinite: depth buffer only shows hands
Doom III BFG Edition: depth buffer only shows hands
Dungeon Siege: no/bad depth buffer access, DirectX 8 issues
Elder Scrolls Online: inconsistent depth buffer access, also risk of ban?
Google Earth*: depth buffer inconsistent, better on some GPUs than others
Mirror's Edge*: mostly works, but depth buffer flickers frequently
Night In The Woods: technically works, but it's a 2.5D game so no benefit
Rage 2: issues with depth buffer
Supreme Commander: technically works, but it's a top-down strategy game so no benefit
