Welcome to another edition of the Fatman's First Take Product Review. This time we are reviewing the All-Paca Hoodie from Appalachian Gear Company. This is a 100% All-Paca yarn hoodie that is good for hiking or hanging out in the cold. Here is a bit of what I like and don't like about the hoodie.
Warmth - The All-Paca Hoodie is really warm. I wore it around town when we in the negative degrees and it kept me warm as could be. I even had a jacket on over it that I had to unzip despite the negative teen degree air.
Flexibility - The material is really flexible and moves with the body. The more I wore it, the better the fit but it still maintained its flexibility. This is really important while hiking to make sure you can move comfortably.
Sizing - As a hefty hiker it is hard to find clothes that fit properly but this hoodie fits me great. I even went with a size smaller than I usually wear on most gear. (xl vs xxl) It also has a longer tail to keep the torso covered even if you have a bit of a belly like me.
Itch - I will say that the only thing I didn't really like about the hoodie is that the first few times I wore it, it did make my exposed skin itch a bit. This has gotten better with every time that I have worn it. Also, if I put a light undershirt on it protects me from that itch.
