So this is the big mashup I was talking about yesterday. I combined our favorite Scottish Twin Engines’ theme with our Great Western Engine’s Indiana Jones-like theme. This is one of my longest mashups to date, along with “Oliver’s Night Train.” I swear, all my longest mashups at this point are with Oliver.

I tried to keep the instruments as true to these characters’ roots as possible. I used the same drums for both Donald & Douglas and Oliver, but while Donald & Douglas’ section is more flute and bagpipe-heavy, Oliver’s has more brass. Making this mashup wasn’t easy, but it feels good to finally release it. As I said before, “Escape” (and all the stories from the Oliver the Western Engine book) are some of my favorites in the series. So mixing Donald & Douglas’ Theme with Oliver’s seemed like a fitting choice. As always, enjoy!
