ZERO-WASTE LIVING
Craftivist and Visible Mending provide comfort at home, on our off-the-grid homestead, while traveling. Frugality takes form in my DNA as finding value and comfort in everything experience. Our summers are spent off-the-grid at our homestead near Algonquin Park, Ontario, Canada raising chickens, bees, and practicing permaculture. Winters are spent traveling and enjoying the comfort of visiting favorite locations and discovering new beautiful destinations. The rest of our time is rooted in our wee townhouse in the city of Mississauga (near Toronto) where we've lived for over 38 years. The common thread is comfort & curiosity. Zero-waste textile art provides comfort and familiarity in the softness of creating unconventional art quilts and untangling skeins of yarn for wearable art. My art practice, like my children, have roots and wings. My gratitude is abundant for the art galleries & councils that support my creative practice. The comfort & curiosity of travel & researching sustainable travel experiences for myself or others resurfaced in 2024 leading to reviving my skills and credentials as a travel professional. The symbiotic nature of my world merged & I'm happy.
