DJ SOSO is a pioneering music producer who fuses vernacular Afro Soul vocals with down tempo funk beats. DJ SOSO’s diverse taste in music is the biggest influence to his unique sound.

Isiphithiphithi was written about a Kasi guy who falls in love with a woman who society feels is out of his league. Regardless of what people say, he follows his heart and pursues this woman. He soon discovers that she is “crazy in love” with him and to his surprise feels overwhelmed by the love and attention she gives him. "Isiphithiphithi is a love song with a man confessing that his lady is driving him crazy with her love. It's a song for courting a partner", says DJ SOSO.

DJ SOSO started DJing in 2004 under the supervision of DJs like Sphectacula and Milkshake at the Wits DJ Society which he ended up heading between 2006 and 2008. He joined VOW FM as the head of the mobile DJ unit in 2005 and moved on at the station as a presenter and content producer in 2010. In 2017, he joined the Touch HD team hosting "The Sound Evolution" show alongside DJ Pru. He has been DJing at campus events, clubs and venues in and around SA (including Botswana and Swaziland) alongside the likes of Atjazz (UK), Andre Lodemann (GER), Cleo, DJ Fresh, Euphonik, Black Coffee, and Vigilante amongst others.

He has since released two house singles titled "Ingane" and "Izulu" respectively. “Izulu” got recognition in the UK and got signed for international release by Tribe Records in the UK. He's currently running weekly events called "Deep In The North" as both event promoter and resident DJ.
