The Foo Fighters are hitting the road once again, announcing their “Take Cover Tour 2026”, which will make twelve stops across North America, including four major shows in Canada. The iconic rock band revealed on Thursday that the tour will kick off on August 4, 2026, at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, with Queens of the Stone Age joining as the opening act. From there, the band will head west, bringing their high-energy performance to Mosaic Stadium in Regina on September 15, marking the venue’s first major concert in eight years. The tour will then move to Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton on September 17, before wrapping up its Canadian leg at BC Place in Vancouver on September 20. Eight additional U.S. shows are planned in Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Nashville, Washington D.C., Fargo, and Las Vegas.

This upcoming trek marks the band’s first North American tour since the heartbreaking loss of longtime drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2022. Following his passing, Josh Freese stepped in as the Foo Fighters’ drummer, but earlier this year, he and the band parted ways. In a statement shared with People, Freese expressed that he was “shocked and disappointed” by the band’s decision, saying he was informed they were “going in a different direction” without further explanation. Speaking later to MusicRadar, Freese added that while he had great respect for the Foo Fighters, “it wasn’t music that I really resonated with long term,” suggesting that the split may have been mutual in spirit.
