Meet Emily: Emily is a vocal performance major and theatre minor in the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts. See why she loves being a student in the Glenn Korff School of Music and Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film, and discover why she chose the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to launch her career in music and theatre.

Meet Vivian: Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts Student Vivian doesn't hold back when she talks about loving being a Dance major, offered through the Glenn Korff School of Music. See why Vivian loves the self-expression and freeing nature of the art form and feels the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is an exhilarating environment that nurtures her in dance, and in life.

Meet Tey: Graphic Design major Tey found her flow once she decided to switch to the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts. Discover why the opportunity to work closely with the Studio Art faculty have this young artist feeling her future is much brighter because of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Meet Russ: Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts student Russ sleeps, eats and drinks art. This self-described "lifer," majoring in Sculpture and Drawing in the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, is committed to sharing his passion for art and telling his story through his many creative talents.

Meet Henry: Multi-talented Henry is a Stage Management major at the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts, where he explores the multi-faceted theatre program at the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film/Media Arts. Henry loves the fact that you can do anything at the University of Nebraska Lincoln, like designing lighting and sets, learning to apply stage makeup, or managing theatre productions, all the while dancing to his own beat.

Meet Ethan: Ethan is a theatre and film major, focusing on visual effects in the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film/New Media at the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts. The Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts was established in 1993 and includes programs in art, art history, music, music education, dance, theatre, and film and new media. The college is named in honor of Christina Hixson and the Lied Foundation Trust, which endowed the college in 2000. Our students and faculty perform, exhibit and study nationally and internationally, and we present more than 250 arts event on campus each year.
