It’s important for puppies to be comfortable with a collar and leash, and this is something we need to condition quickly! It’s easy with shaping and targeting. Eight-week-old puppy, Gibby, joined us for you to see what you can train with a puppy the first day they come home.

All the steps in this video with puppy Gibby apply to dogs of all ages, so give it a go with your dog. It’s ideal for rescue dogs! We can always make things better for our dogs, and creating a positive conditioned emotional response will help them.
