Add Movement to Your Eurorack Patches, Literally – Swamp Flux The Biggest Foot and A Balance Board

Ever wanted to have control over 9 outputs of modulation in your eurorack case just by moving your body? Interested in new modules that are almost ready for release? I got a chance to check out a prototype module by Swamp Flux called The Biggest Foot. It was kinda sorta beta testing and I figured I’d share some of my thoughts on it to see if anyone else out there would be as stoked on it as I was. Spoiler: It’s kind of amazing to move your body around to make modulation for a bunch of your system.

I bet most of us are all aware of the power of modulation within our modular systems, or maybe some of us are looking for that first modulation source that’s outside of the traditional LFO. A modulation source with flexibility can offer a lot to your patches, both in generative patches and performance patches. I had no idea how much I needed some serious modulation till I started messing with this thing.

There’s lots in this video that’s specific to this module as it has some super powers you won’t find in other places, namely that it interfaces with a Balance Board and that it has 9 outs. But don’t worry, there’s definitely a few ideas throughout you can use your fave modulation source for as well.

As a disclaimer, I got a prototype to test, don’t have to return it but also, I’m not getting paid at all.
