In 1996, Warren G released a version of “What’s Love Got to Do with It” that sampled Tina Turner’s iconic chorus from her 1984 hit.
That track blended hip hop and R&B, making it a chart hit and reintroducing Tina’s voice to a new audience.

Tina Turner herself was a legendary figure in rock, pop, soul, and R&B, often called the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll.” Her 1984 version of “What’s Love Got to Do with It” became her signature crossover single.

In this new mash-up acoustic remix, I’ve taken the soulful energy of both voices and laid them over stripped-down instrumentation — guitar, warm keys, soft percussion — to create an intimate, emotional reinterpretation. I combined Tina’s timeless chorus with Warren G’s verses, blending them into one cohesive acoustic arrangement.
