Dead Space Remake Lore: The True Intentions of Marker 3A

The remake subtly shows us what the true intentions of the red marker was to be all along with the new Nicole log where she is confronted by an apparition of Octavia who tells her what the voices had been echoing out to the rest of the crew and colonists to bring the makers to the marker who were the sovereign colony scientists who built marker 3A.

Since the events of Scenario Five the red marker had been alone on Aegis VII until the colonisation of the planet in 2507 however once the USG Ishimura arrives on the scene and Dr. Kyne comes down with the beginning stages of the marker induced dementia that the truth comes out, that if the makers cannot be brought to the marker then one must return what had been taken which meant to return the marker to the pedestal on the outskirts of the colony on Aegis VII in doing so will end the outbreak as like the marker says to Nicole that time is patient and the architect will soon come with that being Isaac.

The main goal now was to imprint the mental blueprint on to the architect with that being an acceptable host with Isaac Clarke being the one to fill those shoes so that another may be built and he could be consumed by the marker. The observations of Dr. Kyne however aren't as what many believe to be true as the marker signal derives from the brethren moons master signal with flows through each necromorph form all the way to the corpses with them being influenced by the signal.

The hivemind doesn't project any hallucinations or apparitions and is merely another necromorph form influenced by the marker, the clash between the two entities doesn't exist between the hivemind and the marker. The red marker isn't a force for good but is thinking on the greater goal at hand, boosting the signal back to the moon on tau volantis and spreading the infectious mental blueprint to others to further the brethren moons goals by forming more moons.
