Evinrude Outboard Flywheel Removal and Installation

This is how to remove and install an Evinrude or Johnson outboard flywheel. You have to remove the flywheel to replace the stator or timer base. You need a flywheel holder tool, a flywheel puller, and a torque wrench. We are going to get this boat running! TOOLS BELOW ↓↓↓↓

These boat flywheels can be very stuck!

****The flywheel key has to be installed and you HAVE TO TORQUE the flywheel nut to the proper torque spec or it WILL shear the flywheel key and cause engine damage. Look up the torque spec for your outboard engine online.****
