The University of North Texas Percussion Area in the College of Music presented A Celebration of Christopher Deane’s Life and Music on April 2, 2022. The Recital Hall was full with family, friends, students and colleagues from all over the country to celebrate Professor Deane and his many contributions to percussion, music, the university and his community. Chris passed on October 9th, 2021 after a long battle with cancer, and his full bio is in the PDF program below. He was an amazing musician, composer, teacher and friend and he is greatly missed.
