Based on the famous Polish book series, The Witcher franchise of video games propelled relatively unknown game developer CD Projekt Red to international stardom. The games have gone on to sell millions of copies worldwide and have spurned a critically acclaimed Netflix adaptation of the books. While the first entry in the game series is a little rough around the edges, it pays off in full and sets up an amazing trilogy of games which many have recognised as some of the finest storytelling gaming has to offer.
