This is a short tutorial for how to set up two different page numbering systems (e.g., Roman [i, ii, iii] and Arabic numerals [1,2,3]) for various parts of a single document. This is most useful for setting up a single document for your thesis or dissertation that has front matter (table of contents, dedications, lists of tables and figures) with Roman numerals and main text with page numbers in Arabic numerals. This is made with Word for Mac, and Word on Windows might be slightly different.
