EARLY ARRIVAL HEAVY FIRE Auto Repair Shop Two Alarm Commercial Fire Brick, New Jersey 11/4/24

Ocean County - Brick Township - 1481 NJ-88 - Two Alarms

Just after 8 PM, Brick Township received a 911 call for a working structure fire in a commercial structure. The caller stated that they could see grey smoke and flames coming out of the roof of the structure. The structure happened to be an auto repair shop. The first arriving fire officers confirmed the working fire, the fire was already at two alarms due to dispatch's auto-upgrading it from reports from PD and people on the scene. The first due truck was the tower ladder 2305 and they set up aerial operations on the far side of the building down past the fire bay. Engine 2301 was next due and to stretch a hand line to the C side to hit the main body of fire & a car on fire in the rear. They established a water supply and started to stretch lines & feed water to the tower ladder. Shortly after crews were able to get some water on the fire while having issues accessing the bays via the rolling garage doors. There were no reported injuries and crews worked on the scene for about three hours. The cause of the fire is also unknown at this time. RIT Team from Point Pleasant Boro also responded to the scene along with EMS.
