Kodak's hawkeye camera line spanned multiple decades and culminated in this model, the Brownie Hawkeye Flash (BHF). A lightweight, bakelite, and user-friendly twin-lens reflex toy box camera, the BHF takes distinct, character-filled, photos simply. With operation easy enough for anyone to use, the BHF represented a truly universal camera that could be picked up and mastered in the same day.

Lacking a light meter, batteries, and other fancy appurtenances, the BHF represents a paradigm in 1950's atomic age simplicity. The design, arguably representative of the streamline modern school, recalls now a decade perceived as simpler, safer, and happier.
