The Star Trek franchise dominated science fiction television throughout the 1990s. But on the big screen - among many Star Trek movies - came Galaxy Quest. This loving spoof of Star Trek and other sci-fi properties has entrenched itself in pop culture as a beloved classic. However the film's journey from script to screen wasn't as smooth as many may expect.
