Hey there! This was not the video I thought I'd upload next (it was fishing) but I've been having issues with Sims 1's screen ratio when I had just a few more things to film so I'll continue it when I've figured it out. I wanted to work on something quick that didn't require Sims 1 and bowling has been sitting on my list for a good while now so it fit the bill. At first I was so sure it was in Sims 1, I don't even know why but I thought it was there, anyone else?

Anyways, what are your thoughts on bowling? Mine?

Sims 2 was the starter, it was just one of the many activities offered in night-life and it honestly wasn't the standout of that pack. It's a good activity for dates and such but it never called to me specifically, but I will say they did right with the animations and basics

Sims 3 reintroduced it with univeristy and now I understand why Sims 3 could do so much, they just copied Sims 2's animations so a good portion of the work was lifted, a luxury Sims 4 doesn't have (quite the contrary cause their animations are a bit more complicated than sims 2's). But anyways, they made a hidden skill for it this time around and they did add a few different details like the screen and the fact that we do see the score so that was a nice addition, it felt like a real game was happening

Sims 4 did what they know best and decided to make it's own pack to focus on it, I'm still unsure how to feel about them doing this, I feel like EA must have a quota of packs per year or something for Maxis to be cutting so much, but leaving that aside, I think this was a clear improvement for the most part, better animations, making it an actual skill, giving little details like the glove and the different balls, it's an easy 1st place if you ignore the fact that it's way more expensive than the others.

But that's just my opinion, let me know yours and i'll see you on the next one with horses. I'd like to continue working on fishing but I'll be busy for the next few weeks so I don't think I'll find the time to work on it before horses release. Are you excited about those? Cause I sure am but just like bowling, I'm a little salty that they cut them but let's see how much they improve.
