The South Devon Railway held their annual Diesel Gala on the 8-9th of November. Last year a strong relationship with DC rail led to 60029 visiting and this year not one but 2 DC rail locos attended the event being 56103 and 56045. One was operational each day, the day of filming was Saturday which had 56103 take the reins however 56045 was still visible on static display. This marked the first ever visit of a class 56 to the railway. The third confirmed visitor was 47715 which had recently been repainted into RES livery. Unfortunately the locomotive failed at the end of the day after putting on a very good show!
