🚙 DESTINATION: Griffith NSW.
📍WHERE: This fascinating town is located within the Visit Riverina NSW tourism region. The local government area is Griffith City Council. It's also within an important agricultural zone - the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Area.
🇮🇹 WHY: Italian immigrant history, food and culture - and we found plenty of it.
📅 TIME: We arrived in the first week of Spring and in the lead up to the annual Italian Festival. We spent four days in and around the town but you could easily spend more time in the region.
🥗🍝🍷 FOOD & WINE: Bertoldos Zecca Handmade Italian Griffith The Italian Fresh Mercato Calabria Family Wines (Griffith, NSW, Australia)
HIGHLIGHTS: Besides the food, wine and dining listed above, we enjoyed Griffith Pioneer Park Museum and Cocoparra National Park. The Hermit's Cave (we've made a separate postcard about that ) was also intriguing and worth a look.
