A quick look at a secondhand Pedersoli Tryon rifle that came into The Outdoors Hut recently.
This is a replica of the Tryon plains rifles made in the 1840's etc in the Tryon shop in philidelphia.
This one is a Match rifle, with Creedmoor rear sight and tunnel front sight, twist rate is 1-21" being ideal to shoot a 310 grn minie Bullet
At over 32" and over 10lbs, its a plains rifle, designed to be carried in the scabbord on horseback
John Tryon came to USA in the early 1700's bring guns and trade goods from his native Holland.
His sons took up gun making, and the Tryon family were involved in making guns for 150 years.
