The new (for 2022) PREWAR series from Blueridge is a colleciton of acoustic guitars inspired by pre-war Martins, and all the prewar Blueridge guitars feature solid back & sides and a solid adirondack spruce top. Before 2022, this instrument was named the BR-240A. Since all the pre-war series Blueridge guitars have an Adirondack top, Saga Musical Instruments decided the A was redundant, and shortened the model name to simply, BR-240. If you were a fan of the old BR-240A, the new BR-240 is the same guitar. The Blueridge BR-240 is a very loud, full, responsive mahogany dread, and would be most closely related to the now-discontinued Martin D-18GE. The BR-240 has a 1 3/4 nut, forward shifted scalloped braces, and solid ebony for the fingerboard & bridge.
