Financial literacy is a life skill—and at Pickett High School, students are learning it in a way that feels real, relevant, and engaging.

In partnership with Philly Financial Scholars, Citadel joined a financial literacy class to help students build practical money skills, understand the basics of banking, and begin taking steps toward financial independence. Through interactive lessons, real conversations, and a creative in-class moment that brought the room to life, students experienced financial education in a way that connected beyond the textbook.

As a program partner, Citadel supported classroom learning with plans to return and assist students in opening checking accounts once they complete the program. Featuring perspectives from students, educators, and community partners, this video highlights how financial literacy builds confidence, opens doors, and strengthens communities.
