RAF Brize Norton Zone Transit | Oxford To Bristol VFR | ATC Audio

Описание к видео RAF Brize Norton Zone Transit | Oxford To Bristol VFR | ATC Audio

After a visit to London Oxford Airport it's time to return to my base at Bristol. For this flight I decide to transit the Control Zone at RAF Brize Norton, routing Charlbury, Bampton and Faringdon. The route takes me just to the East of Brize, who were incredibly friendly on this glorious summer's evening.

The decision to transit Brize was for my own hour building experience. I have edited this video to highlight the procedure for the transit, as opposed to a sightseeing exercise. However, this video is hopefully also useful to other pilots and will encourage more people to not be afraid to request such a transit.

It should be noted that Brize is a major military installation and the airspace around Brize is Class D. The minimal video footage published here of the station is both respectful in nature and has been approved by the relevant persons with their permission.

Once clear of Brize it's a straightforward flight back to Bristol International Airport, enjoying stunning sunset views along the way.

Please note this video is intended for entertainment only and for those who wish to follow my journey. Other pilots should always seek the professional advice of their flight school or a qualified person.
