What happens when a biblical translator intentionally or unintentionally changes the meaning of the text being translated? What if some translators intentionally changed the meaning of the Hebrew Bible when translating difficult laws from the Old Testament? What if those laws get brought into the New Testament and the early Church in their Scriptures (the Septuagint)? How might we think about these issues? This public lecture explores this topic based on my own novel research and publications.
