Male Balding & Ageing Special FX Demonstration by PAM Makeup

PAM demonstration at IMATS 2012 showing a male becoming subtley older and bald, using Probondo Prosaide, PPI and Telesis.

An amazing make-up demonstration using identical twins Steve and Mike. Here, Kristyan Mallett successfully applies ageing make-up on identical twin Steve.

1. Kristyan applies an encapsulated bald pate (encapsulation means the edge can be blended very easily while still retaining all the qualities of silicone) over a soaped head.

2. Next he adds some old age stipple around the eyes (see the PAM YouTube video with Lois Burwell and Kenny Myers doing this) and around the mouth. If applying pieces to youngish skin it always helps to stipple the skin which doesn't have a piece applied to, as it pulls together the look, and stops the jarring between young fresh skin and an ageing piece.

3. He then applies silicone transfer eye bags (these are in a mould - simply use Pros-Aide to attach the mould, under the eye, and then roll out, encapsulating the edges for easy blending).

4. Kristyan applies Pro Bondo crow's feet - he has sculpted some fantastic thin crows feet and eye bags. Simply press on the skin and out they come - with Pro Bondo no glue is needed.

5. Some silicone encapsulated cheek pieces are now added. These sit in the natural folds of the face so the edges aren't too loose.

6. Kristyan then adds a great saggy jaw piece (silicone encapsulated) under the jaw.

7. Finally, he adds some greying and silvering to the side-burns and eyebrows, with some fine painting, and an ageing wig.
