Описание к видео Truck 12 1st Due Box Alarm 29-80 4629 Reisterstown Rd. between Woodland & Virginia

This was a basement fire in the 4600 Block of Reisterstown Rd. In the 5th Battalion in Northwest Baltimore City on August 12, 2022.

This video is special because it captures Lieutenant Dillon Rinaldo as a new Lieutenant at Engine 46.

On October 25, 2023, Lieutenant Rinaldo succumbed to injuries he sustained in the line of duty while operating at a 2nd Alarm Fire in the 5200 block of Linden Heights Avenue in a 46 Box while working in Engine 29.

In this video from the tiller seat of Truck 12, you will first hear Lt. Rinaldo’s voice at the 4:46 mark as they are still responding into the box.

Lt. Rinaldo can first be seen moving with a purpose entering a front yard following his nozzleman at the 7:17 mark.

After the fire is extinguished, Lt. Rinaldo can be seen exiting the fire building at the 22:09 mark and then walks past the camera back to Engine 46 as the companies are starting to take up.

Also seen in this video is Lt. Keith Brooks of Squad 40. Lt. Brooks was also burned in the same fire on Linden Heights.

During my time in the Baltimore City Fire Department, I attempted to take as many pictures and videos as possible knowing full well that some day in the future, it’s all we will have left.

If we have learned anything, “take the picture.”

God bless Lt. Dillon Rinaldo Engine 46 &
FF Rodney Pitts Engine 29. May they rest in eternal peace.
