Satchmo, from The Spider Gang, takes fans through Richmond's 4th game of the 2025 season versus the VMI Keydets. It'll be the Spiders home opener at The Brick House after playing three games on the road. The Keydets and Spiders are ancient rivals, having played 90 times, but have not played since 2015. Richmond has dominated the series recently with VMI's last win in 1996. Former UR coach Danny Rocco will be entering his 3rd year as VMI coach. Richmond fans will remember his 2012-2016 success at UR fondly. Rocco took the Spiders to CAA Championships and three consecutive FCS Playoff appearances between 2014-2016. VMI comes into the 2025 season off of a 2024 1-11, 1-7 SOCON season. On media day the Keydets were picked to finish 9th (last) in the 2025 SOCON standings. Rocco's team is young and developing. It brings back experience at key positions. This will be a big game for VMI. The Spiders are likely to be heavy favorites, but better be ready for the Keydet's best game.
