What Impact Will Awareness Campaign and AI Have on Accounting Profession?

FICPA CEO Shelly Weir provides a fresh look at the challenges facing the accounting profession in Florida, so she implemented an awareness campaign that speaks directly to the next generation – at a place they would see it; TikTok, YouTube. Weir tells Paychex THRIVE, a Business Podcast, that she’s also getting CPAs out to camps and high schools and events to showcase their critical thinking and strategic approach using data to debunk the “CPA perception” of being just bean counters. She shares the unique Florida experience of specialized CPAs and also talks about how AI will impact the profession positively.
