So this is the original text I used to explain what was going on.

To make a copper cuff bracelet, I wanted to melt the ends of some twisted copper wire into ball shapes to give the ends a neat and smooth feel. Using seven lengths of the same diameter wire, allows for a consistent and uniform twist to be achieved. I thought I would try using traditional barbecue charcoal as a mold. After drilling a hole through the charcoal, I carved a bowl shape to hold the molten copper until it cools. An oxygen and propane mixed torch burns incredibly hot and makes quick work of melting the copper ends. Annealed copper is soft and malleable, making it easy to bend into shapes.
