Planted aquariums do need a lot of care and maintenance as we all might know. I started this 2 feet Aquarium setup a few months back and till now managed to get good results. The Aquarium volume is approximately 50-60 L . I follow a weekly dosing & maintenance routine for my tank. This is a small video about the same.
I had uploaded a photo about the fertilizers that I use for my tank, but I got a few questions about the amount and the frequency of the dosing. So here is a small video about my dosing schedule.
Tropica Fertilizer are one of the best fertilizers available in the market today. There are two variants in Tropica Specialized & Premium. In simple terms Specialized is for heavily planted tank and Premium is for low-tech planted tank. Specialized can be recommended to people who have a good quality light and CO2 setup, else Premium is the ideal choice. I also use additional iron dose for the tank as I think its essential of new growth and also helps in the color of the plants. Lastly I use Flourish Excel , it provides carbon supplement to the plants. Excel is also helps in reduction of Algae however it needs to used carefully as overdose might hurt your live stock especially shrimps.
I would also like to mention that the dosing that I follow is as per what little experience I have about aquariums. I might be wrong about it and if you feel so please let me know in the comments.
