About Saint Vincent (Welcome)

Welcome to San Vicente del Raspeig, a municipality whose history dates back to at least the year 1411 when the Valencian saint Vicente Ferrer preached in these lands, later adopting his name. In 1836, the residents of the then Raspeig district began the process of segregating the city of Alicante until it became an independent municipality in 1848.
