Hollow Head - Photoshop Manipulation Tutorial - Hole in Head- Hollow Face

In this Photoshop manipulation tutorial, we will learn a photo manipulation technique to create a hollow head effect. We will take a photo of a model and use a mask to separate him from the background. We then add a radial gradient background to draw the eye to the model's face. We then use the Lasso tool to select part of his head we want to remove and cut/paste it to a new layer. We create a hollowed inside of his head with the brush tool and add noise for texture. With the Pen tool we create the skull edge. Then, to make the image more realistic, we use a custom hair brush to both fill in small gaps, add depth, and make the effect more authentic.
