FCA and PSA announced their plans for a 50-50 merger on December 18, 2019. FCA chief executive officer (CEO) said work to complete the merger has continued at pace, to meet the goal of finalizing the merger by the end of the first quarter of 2021.Antitrust is a difficult obstacle for European companies seeking to buy or combine with rivals.
