If fully implemented, it could have significantly improved preparedness for floods, dam management, and extreme weather events.

More than two decades later, gaps in implementation mean Pakistan continues to rely on fragmented data flows and delayed warnings. As climate change intensifies river volatility, experts argue that reviving and completing this integrated system could be critical for managing future water and flood challenges.
