When the Mother of the Shaman called me, I already had plans to go to Merida but quickly changed them to join her for this healing session in the Mayan Village of Komchen.

I later learned that people come from ALL parts of Mexico for this healing they provide, assisting with conditions that are most grave and difficult - womb conditions, addictions, depression, physical ailments and so much more!❤️

They help the people that doctors and society have given up on! They help those who feel lost and/traumatized by life.

I was honored to have been invited into this Sacred Space and bring my own medicina of Song and Love!❤️

Side Note: It’s always a great honor and privilege to be welcomed into these spaces. I don’t take for granted the opportunity the Mayan Shamans, Curanderas, Herbalists, and Pateras have given me. I deeply honor and respect this Divine Exchange!✨

Many of which are similar to her own, further deepening her love for our Common Ancestor - The Great Mother. Sistah Yaya speaks several languages from Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese in addition to several dialects and is now learning Mayan. Sistah Yaya currently holds the position of Traditional Caribbean Master Herbalist & Healer, Reiki Master, Shaman, Spiritual Guide, Spirit Medium, Oracle, Light Bearer, Life Coach, and Holistic Esthetician. Initiated into the Craft by her Elders, Sistah Yaya continues to uphold the sacred healing practices of Maroon and Arawak Healing as her Ancestors did centuries before her.
