Abandoned Diamond Carlisle Hotel & Appartments in Carlisle Pa

This hotel had changed ownership to Knights Inn from what I was able to research. Please correct me if I'm wrong in the comments below and I'll make changes accordingly.
Located 4.3 miles from the private liberal arts Dickinson College, the 2-star Diamond Carlisle Hotel offers spacious rooms 10 minutes' drive from United States Army Heritage and Education Center Museum. This Carlisle inn features safety facilities including a safe deposit box and luggage storage.
In addition, Sports Emporium is only a short stroll away from the smoke-free property. Due to its location 21.7 miles from Capital City airport, it will take about 28 minutes' drive to get there.
You can choose from one of the 69 air-conditioned rooms with cable channels, and self-catering amenities like coffee/tea making equipment. They are furnished with spacious decor.
Diamond Carlisle Hotel has a Bar that guest can go enjoy, Banquet services, & Apartments that you can rent out for the long stay. It also includes an laundromat behind the property.

Not sure why this Hotel has closed down possibly in 2020. Did Covid had something to do with its closure? or perhaps the bad reviews?

Absolutely disgusting and cockroaches all over the place and room leaking water from the cieling the smells were awefull no respect from the manager never book a room here people are bringing pets inside barking dog's were herd coming from the other roommates terrible

Bed Bugs- Disgusting
Husband and wife in the town of Carlisle, PA for the Carlisle car show. Booked a room at the Diamond Inn. Were arrived and were given room 257. After being out walking and site seeing, we wanted to return to our room and relax. As we pulled back the cover's, there were bed bugs. Scrambling all over the bed. We contacted management, all they did was give us a different room. Very unhealthy room.

So Bad it would have to come up a 1000 notches to reach horrible !!!!
Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else, anywhere else !!! Horrible, old, smelly, broken hotel. Rooms are a disgrace. Broken lights, broken furniture, missing furniture, broken doors, unlit hallways +++. Owner, manager & clerks will lie to you & change their story 5 times in 5 minutes.
Even if it was free it would be overpriced !!!
We had 7 rooms booked for a car show, we refused to stay in this dump. We ended up in a hotel 20+ miles away - but believe me, it was worth it.
Also, watch for name change from Knights Inn. It may have a new name soon, but it's still the same horrible hotel. ( check by address)

“Good for the price”
Fast internet, amazing staff, clean rooms, conformable beds and awesome tvs. This place is certainly worth it. You can tell the second you walk in that it is unique. I really don’t understand why there is so many negative reviews.

Diamond Carlisle Hotel Fires:

March 2, 2023 Company 33 and Automatic Aid were sent at 12:58pm Thursday to the Abandoned Diamond Carlisle Hotel. Police in Cumberland County have charged a man with setting a fire at a vacant motel Thursday afternoon.
Roy, 57, no fixed address, is charged with arson, risking a catastrophe, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief in connection to the incident, which occurred at the former Diamond Carlisle Inn on the 1200 block of Harrisburg Pike in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
arriving officers discovered two rooms at the vacant hotel actively on fire. A witness identified Sampson as the suspect who started the fires, and police soon located him walking through the motel's parking lot.
Sampson was taken into custody without incident, according to police.

There was another fire set near one of the Lobby areas. I couldn't find any information other than an local had informed me and was able to confirm through out my walk through.
