Instead of requiring separate cables, you only need one cable from the switcher to the camera. The cable transmits power and the control signal to the camera. It also sends the video signal back to the switcher -- all this on one ethernet cable. Another mean feature of the HS-1500T is the on-board camera control, so no separate unit is needed for operating multiple PTC-150TL cameras simultaneously.
