A series of rough drafts of my music paired with edits of my daily entertainment log animations ~Every animation is created by linking together thousands of screenshots each counting as a frame & documenting the media I had watched that day, like a journal. Started May 2019 w/ animations completed daily & w/ 140 completed with audio as of 9/4/20~

At the time of producing this I was going through a bit of writer's block after having a productive streak in June (a lot of the animations with sound are finished & will be posted periodically) Making this was a process of laying down a few simple ideas that I know I can always build a song around. In this case I played that bouncey, rhythmic piano line and the chord progression came out naturally as I continued to play around in the key of Db major. As another remedy for writer's//producer's block is to simply look at all the different midi instruments I have to choose from in each particular DAW I'm using. There are a lot of ambient soundscape I have as presets bc they are good for fleshing out the mix & providing some bg ambience for many types of situations. I picked a more etherial, uplifting synth to compliment what I think is the star of this piece: the disgusting, filthy, buzzing bass line. The bass is a rather simple melody with a distinct & gritty texture that seemed like it would be harsh at first, but it truly takes the lead especially when the tempo increases at the end.
