Lango leaders renew call for eviction of Balaalo

Lango leaders have renewed their call for cattle keepers commonly known as balaalo to be moved out of Acholi and Lango sub-region. The cultural leaders say that the ease with which the migrant cattle keepers are moving into their areas is affecting the call to plant coffee, now viewed as a more valued occupation. George Ojwang, the prime minister of the Lango cultural institution says there is also a need to support the greening of the sub region due to massive environmental challenges.
