Changing the BMW i8 Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) on the mid-engine

I decided to perform an Automatic Transmission Fluid change on my BMW i8 after reading that owners of Mini Cooper cars with the same transmission felt that it was very necessarily to do, routinely. I cross referenced the expensive BMW ATF 6 to Febi Bilstein 29934:
