Welcome back, Educators.
Our mission is to categorize the properties into 3 groups.
And the area to 3 groups also, using the VLOOKUP.
Copy the properties and paste them into a new sheet. Categories them into 3 groups, Home, Apartment, and Studio.
Type = VLOOKUP(
Which value we’re looking for?
In which range do we find it?
Which column of the selected range do we want to return?
Type FALSE to search for the exact selected value. Then press Enter.
Google Sheets adds the sheet name to the range automatically.
Lock the range, and copy the formula down.
And here is it.
To categorize the area, we need to create a new table.
As we see, the smallest area is 50, and the largest area is 400.
The categories are:
From 50 and onwards is small.
From 100 onwards is medium.
From 200 onwards is big.
We’ve added a custom number format to these numbers to facilitate reading the table.
Type = VLOOKUP(
Which value we’re looking for?
In which range do we find it?
Which column of the selected range do we want to return?
Type TRUE to search for an approximate value to the selected value. Then press Enter.
Google Sheets adds the sheet name to the range automatically.
Lock the range, and copy the formula down.
