ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation) is the space agency of the Government of India, founded on August 15, 1969. Its primary objective is to harness space technology for various national tasks such as communication, navigation, remote sensing, scientific exploration, and space research.

History of ISRO:
ISRO's journey began with the establishment of the Indian National Committee for Space Research (INCOSPAR) in 1962 under the leadership of Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, considered the father of the Indian space program. In 1969, INCOSPAR was restructured and renamed ISRO. The organization's initial focus was on developing sounding rockets and launch vehicles.

ISRO's first successful satellite launch was on July 18, 1980, when the Rohini satellite was placed into orbit using the Satellite Launch Vehicle-3 (SLV-3). Since then, ISRO has achieved significant milestones, including the development of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) series.

Future Missions of ISRO:
ISRO has an ambitious roadmap for the future, aiming to expand its capabilities and explore new frontiers in space. Some of the future missions include:

Gaganyaan: India's human spaceflight mission, aiming to send astronauts into space aboard an indigenously developed spacecraft.

Aditya-L1: A solar mission designed to study the Sun's outermost layer and its impact on space weather.

Mangalyaan-2: A follow-up mission to Mars Orbiter Mission (Mangalyaan), aiming to further study the Martian atmosphere and surface.

Shukrayaan: An orbiter mission to Venus, aiming to study the planet's atmosphere, surface, and climate.

Information about Chandrayaan 3:
Chandrayaan-3 is ISRO's third lunar mission, following the successful missions of Chandrayaan-1 and Chandrayaan-2. The primary objective of Chandrayaan-3 is to land a rover on the lunar surface to conduct scientific investigations.

The mission aims to improve upon the shortcomings of Chandrayaan-2's lander-rover module, Vikram-Pragyan, which faced challenges during its soft landing attempt on the Moon's surface in September 2019.

Chandrayaan-3 is expected to use the lessons learned from the previous missions to achieve a successful soft landing and further explore the lunar surface for scientific discoveries, including studying the Moon's geology, mineralogy, and possible presence of water.
