Authorities in Langford, British Columbia, have apprehended a 35-year-old man following a serious assault on a middle school student. The incident occurred Thursday morning on the grounds of Spencer Middle School. West Shore RCMP responded swiftly to the scene after receiving a report of an assault occurring just outside, but within the confines of, the school property.

Upon arrival, officers learned that an adult male had entered the school grounds and physically attacked a male student, inflicting injuries described as serious, though not life-threatening. The assailant managed to flee the scene prior to law enforcement's arrival.

However, the suspect was located and arrested shortly thereafter. He is slated to appear in court on Friday, November 14th. Investigators currently believe the man and the student are strangers, with no prior connection.
