Striped Bass fishing Bay of Fundy

Striped Bass fishing Bay of Fundy. A quick look at our first view of the bay, followed by fun and slightly chilly day at the Bay of Fundy with a great friend fishing from the shore for for anything we could catch. I caught several striped bass - or sea bass, and a handful of what we could not identify, but later someone said were called a Tommy Cod. Apparently the Atlantic Tomcod, also known as frostfish or tommy cod only grow to about a foot long, so I guess we could have kept & eaten those little guys.
We weren't starving, and so none were big enough to keep, - it was a day of catch and release.
It was amazing how quickly the tide rises, with each cast of the rod we would have to retreat up the shore about 2 paces. Another thing which was very interesting was how rough the water was where the currents were most active.
A fun afternoon in the chilly Atlantic wind on a gravel beach under the all-seeing eye of the Bass River Lighthouse.
If you want to see a satellite view of exactly where we were at the mouth of the Bass River, this is the Google maps coordinates for this spot: 45.394879, -63.780943
